Check & Upload Your Files
Refer to our Business
Card Pricing Page to find the quantity and printing
configurations that fit your needs. If you don't see
something that you want on that page, please
contact us so we can
custom quote your job.
File Preparation -
The only acceptable file formats for business card online ordering at
this time is .jpg, .ai, or .eps at 300 dpi at actual size in CMYK
format.
- We prefer the jpg
format if your fonts are bigger than 1/8"
- The reason we like
.jpg over bmp or tiff is because there is very little quality loss from
the compression and the loss is made up for with the
300dpi Image.
- If you have small
text use a an "eps" file or an "ai" (Adobe
Illustrator files). Just make sure to convert fonts to
outlines and include all linked files.
- CMYK is also a must
because there is a loss of color gamut from your
screen colors (RGB) to actual printed colors (CMYK).
To make it easy to understand some bright reds, greens and
blues are shaded down when converted from RGB to CMYK.
When designing your
business card design it at a 3.75" x 2.25" area. The
extra 1/8" border will be cut off so you want to
extend your backgrounds to the edge. Remember to leave
another 1/8" internal bleed (nothing important like
text) around the inside of the actual card
dimensions (3.5" x 2").
Uploading your files - If you have just one side it is
fine to send as one .jpg file. If you have 2 sides to
your job you need to submit your artwork in a compressed
.zip format. If you are unfamiliar with the .zip format
winzip.com (PC) or
stuffit.com (MAC)
should be able to help you out. We recommend sending all
larger files as .zip because it helps to compress the
files even more for transfer across the internet.
If you have read all of
the above and your artwork is now ready to be uploaded
